Cannot insert guest addition disc image in virtual machines

I am using virtualbox and in my virtualbox guest cd image is already mounted in the devices section - http://0x0.st/ouoQ.png
But whenever I try to insert the guest addition iso image by going to
Devices > Insert guest addition cd image. I get this warning - http://0x0.st/ouo1.png

I have already installed  the virtualbox-guest-iso package as mentioned in the arch wiki -

[rounak@archissexy Desktop]$ pacman -Q  virtualbox-guest-iso
virtualbox-guest-iso 6.1.34-1
[rounak@archissexy Desktop]$

My guest addition disc image is already inserted but when I go to View > Full screen mode. My virtual machine should change its resolution to the host resolution because the guest addition iso is mounted but still nothing happens.

Am I missing something here ?

I think you have to install guest additions from within the guest OS. If you open a file manager, you'll see an image mounted at /run/media. Then, you remove the iso from Virtualbox settings, and reboot the guest OS.
