Hi,
I've encountered this around the net :
http://tapioca-voip.sourceforge.net/wik … hp/Tapioca
It's a voip software based on jingle and gstreamer.
What I liked is that it supports gTalk, so far I haven't found any other program that does that.
I think it can be a nice contribution to Arch...

I'll have packages in community for it once gst 0.10 gets out of testing

That's great !
Thanks :-)

I psi-jingle supports gtalk...

Yeah, that'll be for 0.12

I must wonder though why PSI in Extra hasn't been updated... I know there's a build in AUR for 0.10, but shouldn't it be updated in Extra considering the fact there is a package for psi....?

I don't have sound on tapiocaui at all.
I use alsa and my system is working with many programs needing sound too. e.g. skype, amarok,...
I get the following message when I try to call someone with tapiocaui:
[tezem@Golgotha ~]$ dbus-launch --exit-with-session tapiocaui

I tried the gstreamer plugin for amarok which works fine.
Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

I'm trying to build Tapioca but tapiocaui won't compile. I get the following error:

Any ideas?

You'll need to patch the makefile so it doesn't use the -Werror option. Something like:
sed -i 's/-Werror//' $startdir/src/$pkgname-$pkgver/src/Makefile
might work.
