xfce4-terminal requests mouse click after running neofetch

When I run neofetch in xfce4-terminal with an image backend that isn't ascii, the terminal refuses to show anything unless I mouse click mouse anywhere in the desktop. The terminal "captures" the mouse and shows a cross cursor, forcing me to click.

This doesn't happen in xterm.

It also happens in another distro, so it might be a bug.
