Hey, is there a way to tell the yay aur helper to not update a specific package, when i use the command yay to update my system?

yay will accept all the relevant pacman options, you can use --ignore $packagename (... and for AUR packages it will prompt you with a selection anyway at which point you can pick which AUR packages you intend to not build/install). If you are thinking of doing this for standard repo packages be aware of https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System … nsupported and in doubt actually disclose what you are actually trying to do, and which exact package you want to ignore for which exact reason.

I dont want to recieve updates for the the pywal package and I don't want to be asked about it, every time, I update my system. I am looking for a permanent solution.

That's a repo package.  So this has nothing to do with yay.  Read the pacman wiki / man page.
