How would you add your own package to the main repo of a distro

I've been using linux not as a daily driver for about two years and know alot about the linux and stuff like that. I started using linux as a daily driver about a month ago and today I had a question, how could I get my own program binarys on a linux distro's repository. Im not talking about the aur im saying the real repositories. How could I get my own package on there (not saying I have a program I want there im just curious).
