Sound for Minecraft not working

Hello,

I'm a little new to this so bear with me. I just did a fresh install with kde and the kde-applications group, unfortunately minecraft doesn't like having sound in the proper place and will always go to my hdmi sound output. This is the only application that has this problem.

Re: Sound for Minecraft not working

install pipewire-alsa or pulseaudio-alsa depending on which sound server you're using.

Re: Sound for Minecraft not working

Unfortunately installing pipewire-alsa or pulseaudio-alsa had no effect.

Re: Sound for Minecraft not working

Then you need to post some more information, with minecraft running and playing to the "wrong" device, what's your output of

sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
aplay -lL #alsa-utils
pactl list sinks
pactl list sink-inputs

post these in code tags

Currently the behavior has changed to when i reload textures i get sound to the proper device but now i cannot stream audio from Spotify  or YouTube, then when i close minecraft i can then play music kinda odd.

Re: Sound for Minecraft not working

You have a logical sound server conflict now. If you intend to stay on pulseaudio make sure to remove pipewire-{alsa,jack,pulse}
