[SOLVED]laptop screen can't light up when external screen is unplugged

I have a external monitor(Lenovo X24q) on my working desk. When I sit on the desk, I disable the internal screen and only use the external screen to get bigger display area. When I wanna go, I wanna just unplug the HDMI cable and toggle display to the internal screen on my laptop.

The problem is that when I unplug the external monitor, the internal screen is still black and the computer is still running normally.I can't control my laptop when both external and internal screen are unavailable.

The results of searching "turn on laptop screen when external monitor unplugged" on Google are mostly about how to auto-enable the external screen when it was plugged in.

My desktop environment is KDE-Plasma and the WM is Kwin. My laptop model is HP Probook 450 G9.

If I missed information about this problem please feel free to tell me smile

Any advice about it ?

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/x-on-resize

Or bind a shortcut to an xrandr script that checks the connected outputs and de/activates them accordingly (notebooks typically have one and win+p is the canonical MS shortcut that you could use and that dedicated keys on many notebooks just emulate)
