Any suggestions? (:

edit: Well. This worked at least but I guess it's not the recommended way:

# ln -s /usr/lib/libdbus-1.so /usr/lib/libdbus-1.so.2

Hail to the thief!

Re: vlc not available

That's the antesis mirror.... it's goofed.  Remove it and try again?

Re: vlc not available

I have exactly the same problem with (I think) all the apps that depend on libdbus after my last upgrade:

rhythmbox: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
vlc: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
gnome-session: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Etc, etc, etc...

Is the ln -s way a recomendable solution?

edited: I've solved it using ln -s. Maybe it isn't the most suitable way, but it seems to work... Time will tell...  roll

Re: vlc not available

No, 'ln -s' is not a recommended solution. Probably your mirror hasn't fully sync yet. Wait a couple of days or switch temporarily to  a more up-to-date mirror.
