Hi!
I have a headphones connected via combo jack, and there's a problem with it. Microphone on this headset gets all of the sounds from headset speakers. This is really annoying because when I'm doing some online conversations people can hear themselves through my mic and it's almost impossible to talk like that.
Btw I use pipewire, but pulse makes no difference on this problem, I've already tried to switch to pulse.
I think this is some combo jack issue because when I use bluetooth headphones or USB headphones everything is ok.
I really need your help, if you have any ideas on this, please feel free to share.
Here's some info about my configuration:

Do you have a particular reason for using the pro profile? What happens if you select an actual standard duplex/recording profile? Have you tried just reducing the capture volume?

No, there's no reason for me to use pro profile, but even when I switch to standard duplex/recording this problem still occurs, basically nothing changes. Speaking about my capture volume, there's no echo or something like that - microphone is picking up exactly the same sound as my output device produce, it's not even quieter than output, so it's not some kind of echo, captured output sound is clear and loud. Even if my capture volume is very low I can still here my output, yeah it's quieter but still clear as it was before. This is definitely some kind of software problem, for me this looks like some kind of loopback

I have similar issue with audacity, but the sound recorded from headphones is low.

I test the headphones with microphone in Android app n-Track Studio and I have not this issue, so is not the headphone with microphone the source of issue.
I'm thinking to buy studio's microphone to record voice and instruments. Can somebody tell me which microphone (XLR or USB) and external sound card XLR/USB is compatible with archlinux?
Thanks in advance.

I bought brand new microphone to connect jack 3.5mm microphone input and the issue is solved (no low echo from headphones while recording).
I have no idea why this issue happens with headphone's microphone and not with external microphone.

Could be a dual splitter like this https://www.pccomponentes.com/equip-147 … 35mm-macho the reason (I have one similar on my PC to connect headphones and micro to my PC)?

Probably not. I'm facing this issue on a laptop with one combined jack, so probably your splitter is not the cause. By the way, I've tried to connect my other headset with USB connector (this means what it has it's own build in audio card) and it's working just fine. So I guess this issue is related to device's build in audio card or it's driver
