the Devanagari ligature for 'shra' is broken. I am not sure if this is the only ligature affected.
Attempting to type the character fails, and other applications (Spotify) fail to render the character correctly.
changing the system display language within gnome settings (locale?) fixes the issue but the font is chopped/not smooth.
this is not an issue i've experienced before, all that i usually had to do was install all relevant noto-fonts.
Could this be related to:

Noto is neither bitmap nor pcf.
fc-match "Noto Sans Devanagari"
FC_DEBUG=4 pango-view --font="sans" -t "श्र" | grep family:

Thanks for your response!
I've created the necessary config files using both match and alias/prefer but Apps like Spotify (flatpak) still use the incorrect font.
