systemd-logind in combination with seatd

I am using `seatd` in combination with sway.

I just checked my system and `systemd-logind` is also running, so it seems to me I am using two services to provide seat management support. Is it possible to mask `systemd-logind` while keeping `seatd` without breaking my system?

Re: systemd-logind in combination with seatd

You'll need polkit if you want to do without seatd. See also https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/73547?p … &sort=desc

EDIT: if you mask systemd-logind then you won't be able to log in. So you do need both that and seatd.

Thank you, so I guess installing `seatd` then does not make a whole lot of sense.

Well it lets you dump polkit. Worth it's weight in gold IMO smile
