PPPoE connection problem: connection timed out (solved)

I decided to switch from ubuntu to archlinux, but I have some problems setting up my internet...
I use the pppoe-setup command, than setup everything and when I type pppoe-start it just says after few seconds: Connection timed out
When I type pppoe-status it says, that the link is down.
I tried to use the alternative non rp-pppoe way, but it say that rp-pppoe was compiled against pppd or something like that...
I have two LAN cards and one of them (the one that is on the motherboard - Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network) is broken, so I put another - Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC. I don't know whether the working one is set up like eth0 or eth1 so I tried both posibilities but the result was the same - connection timed out.

Any idea how to fix my problem?

P.S.
My installation was only 143 MB without xserver, etc so I might be missing some essential modules or I don't know...

EDIT: I noticed that when I set eth0 and when I tried to connect I receive:

CONNECTION TIMED OUT
/usr/sbin/pppoe-start: line 191: 3953 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" > /dev/null 2>&1

But when I set eth1 I receive only:

CONNECTION TIMED OUT

EDIT 2:
When I wrote:

lspci -vvv

I could connect...

Sorry for the spam, but doesn't anyone know anything about this?

I don't know anything about pppoe on linux, but you should disable the on-board nic in your bios if possible.  It will save you a lot of hassle.

Also, there's this page in the wiki:

http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PPP … _with_pppd

you might want to check.

I already tried that... it says that rp-pppoe was compiled against pppd, or that pppd was compiled against rp-pppoe...
