Arch Linux: Past, Present and Future – what has changed since?

Almost two years ago, in 2020, there was a talk titled ... which had a section explaining the planned features  of Arch Linux and for the community. What has since been implemented, how has the vision changed, where is help wanted?

Regain Lost Excellence

• Provide optimized architectures

• Modernize package source (migration of SVN history to git, change tooling)

• Use signed repo databases

Future Improvements

• Accelerate delayed package updates (related sandcrawler)

• Integrate Reproducible Builds (Reproducible status)

• Implement Single Sign-on (SSO Login page)

• Consolidate detached areas (Gitlab as central infrastructure)
