Laptop:ASUS tx3, CPU: Intel i7 12700H, GPU: Intel Alder Lake-P + nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
installed xf86-video-intel & the default OPEN SOURCE nvidia driver (I tried to install nvidia package, but desktop failed to start)
sddm starts i3wm and xfce4 correctly, but got a black screen when starting swaywm. (didn't try other wayland desktops like gnome)
in i3 & xfce4, some apps like firefox, xfce4terminal, virtualbox and some xfce apps works fine.
but some other apps like chrome and kitty don't work.(not black screen. they don't respond to any input, and seems to block at the first frame.)
maybe it's due to GPU driver problem.

Remove xf86-video-intel and it will likely help the majority of these issues.
For the nvidia driver issues try adding ibt=off to your kernel parameters if you want to try those. And then see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PRIME# … er_offload for how to make use of the chip on demand.

Thank you, but there are still some issues. After removing xf86-video-intel, apps in i3 (google chrome, kitty) works fine, but it takes a long time (a minute or so)for them to start.
what's more, wayland desktops like sway still can't start.
I'll try nvidia instead of nouveau, so I'll give up swaywm.
but it seems I should install xf86-video-intel back if I want to use PRIME.

well, I've installed the nvidia close-source driver, and my browsers start fast now. but the only issue is there are some crackles on my browser page when scrolling up and down.
