Hi, I would like to send videos from my pc to my smart tv to play, but I don't know which programs to use. From my android smartphone I can send the files to be played with the "smart view" application, but from a pc with Arch what can I use? Thanks for your answers.

I use vlc with avahi. I think it should work with just systemd-resolved instead of avahi but I haven't managed to get that working.
EDIT: mDNS is the protocol in question.
EDIT2: just checked the wiki and apparently vlc can cast natively. Nice.

This. ReadyMedia/minidlna is very simple to set up and it will make your media available to all capable devices on your internal network.
