[dwm] cannot toggle bluetooth, greyed out

i use arch linux on gnome, and i decided to try out dwm.
but when i log onto dwm from the display manager (i added dwm as an xsession as i use gdm and do not have experience with startx)
i cannot turn the bluetooth on/off in gnome-control-center or bluetoothctl
some devices remains connected if I connect them in gnome and login back to dwm. wifi and ethernet seems to work fine.
here's my dwm startup script (i copied it from xinitrc and added 3 lines in the end to start dwm)

Is the bluetooth service started? It might be auto activated by some gnomeisms and needs to be explicitly started/enabled with mor minimalist setups. Other than that is your DBUS session correct? Startup script looks good but what's the output of

echo $DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS

EDIT: i am able to use the bluetoothctl to connect to devices. (i mentioned in the initial post that i couldn't) Now i see that the bluetooth.service is well up and running.

The only problem i seem to face is that i couldn't toggle it on the gnome-control-center when i'm in the dwm session. Is this supposed to be considered normal? What makes me wonder is that other controls like wifi work fine.

Maybe, I don't use gnome but it's likely there's some gnome service that's somewhat of a hard dep here. E.g. the settings menu for bluetooth wants/needs to talk to a gnome-shell widget which isn't available when you aren't running the gnome-shell. Knowing GNOME this will likely be intentional and marked as wont fix were you to report that upstream or so. FWIW if you start gnome-control-center in a terminal do you get any info on what it looks for to determine whether to disable these toggles?

hi i had very same issue, i was able to resolve this by installing Linux-lts Kernel.
install bluez,bluez-utils and start bluetooth service.
and then unblock bluetooth using 'sudo rfkill unblock bluetooth' as mine was showing it was soft blocked.
now i was able to turn on in gnome control center.
reboot system once if not working.
