Chromium clashes with Visual Code Studio

I have

plasmashell --version
plasmashell 5.25.2
kf5-config --version
Qt: 5.15.5
KDE Frameworks: 5.96.0
kf5-config: 1.0

Strange things happen when I have Visual Code Studio running and run Chromium. I can't use Visual Code Studio (image triangles appear on the screen). I see a black window in Chromium.

KDE stops working properly at this point as well. As I right-click the dialog box appears with a delay.

Almost everything starts working once I shut down Chromium. Sometimes it doesn't help and I have to do:

kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

And if that doesn't help, I have to restart my computer. I have the same with Opera. When I turn it on with Visual Code Studio, I also have problems.

Why is this happening?

Try getting some more data on this issue - launch Code from a terminal to see if an exception is thrown. Also check your journal for any errors that happen at the same time as the weirdness. If you run X11, check your X log.

What does that mean?
The log might be in a different location, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General
Either way, please post it so we know how your 4 GPUs are involved here (notably whether this is some basemosaic setup)

I've no knowledge of kscreen, but what does that have to do w/ the original problem?
Did you disable the basemosaic?
If so, how are you goin to address the 8 outputs it first place and also that's not relevant to the original problem - you just need to deactivate basemosiac and test whether the colliding GL contexts still pose a problem (ie. run chromium and visual studio)

basemosaic is supposingly unlimited only for quadro cards - did you really get a single display 8-output server before (ie. could you move windows around all 8 outputs)
What's the output of "xrandr -q" and "xrandr --listproviders" w/ your original setup?
(Right now you're down to one provider and no offloading capacity)

Also test the original problem against

    Option         "BaseMosaic" "Yes"
    Option         "MetaModes" "GPU-0.DP-2: 1920x1080 +0+0, GPU-0.DP-3: 1920x1080 +1920+0, GPU-1.DP-2: 1920x1080 +3840+0"

(also notice the syntax change, notably the commas - not sure whether the blank ahead of the position is strictly required)
