Re: [SOLVED] Boot hangs on [ OK ] Started Acounts Service.

look at those lines …

Yes... When I remove those from the kernel settings I once again get stuck at starting account service.

These are my new logs.

Re: [SOLVED] Boot hangs on [ OK ] Started Acounts Service.

Post journal and xorg log for those boots - anything you do w/ "nomodeset" is moot.

Are there any further checks I can do or logs I can share to help diagnose this issue?

How to check graphical target?  I also did the other things you mentioned and it boots into the command line.
Also when I do lspci -k it says that nvidia is the kernel driver for my card.  Seems like a step in the right direction.

Re: [SOLVED] Boot hangs on [ OK ] Started Acounts Service.

"http" and 0x0.st/o1GB has a webpage redirecting to www.romaniajournal.ro (interesing and abusable feature…)
Your graphical target is whatever you configured it to be…
Most likely

systemctl status display-manager.service

The output says Light Display Manager.  I’ll send another copy of my journal now.

Re: [SOLVED] Boot hangs on [ OK ] Started Acounts Service.

That's nice, but what's missing is a non-nomodeset Xorg log.

Weird, I already had that lightdm option enabled,
Here’s my xorg log:

The X11 server however ran fine for ~4 minutes
It finds Acer SB220Q on DFP-1 and DFP-5 and selects 1920x1080 - there's no indication of any problem in that log.

Weird the xorg log doesn’t update after deleting the conf file

[ 3.269] (II) Applying OutputClass "nvidia" options to /dev/dri/card0
[ 3.269] (**) NVIDIA(0): Option "TripleBuffer" "on"
[ 3.269] (**) NVIDIA(0): Option "AllowIndirectGLXProtocol" "off"

[ 3.269] (**) NVIDIA(0): Option "MetaModes" "nvidia-auto-select +0+0 {ForceFullCompositionPipeline=On}"

There's still some nvidia related configlet around, but the log is from a running server w/o any indication of failure.
Is there actually still some problem?
Please post the lightdm log from /var/log

I unfortunately just boot into a black screen.

I'll go ahead and check that log.

Even when booting the multi-user.target (but not on nomodeset)?
Do you have both attached outputs powered on?

Oh I was using graphical target again, multiuser just booted into command line.  The monitors work, cause I dual boot windows on this machine.

Re: [SOLVED] Boot hangs on [ OK ] Started Acounts Service.

http://0x0.st/o1nA links reuters …
http://0x0.st/o1nA.txt seems to autologin your user

+4.00s] DEBUG: Greeter start authentication for michael
[+4.00s] DEBUG: Session pid=657: Started with service 'lightdm', username 'michael'
[+4.01s] DEBUG: Session pid=657: Got 1 message(s) from PAM

So the issue is now (likely) with your desktop session (disable the autologin in lightdm to ensure that lightdm works)

I don’t have autologin enabled, double checked the conf file.

Is the logfile dated?
Boot the mutli-user.target, make sure to have xorg-xterm and xorg-xinit installed and run "startx".

Startx works but boots into no signal as before or rather my monitor says, “input not supported”

Also the logfile has no date.

Every file has timestamps for access, creation and modification.
