[Magically Solved Itself] Physically no sound with Pipewire on HDMI

Hi, I recently installed Arch Linux. I'm using Xorg, Nvidia official driver and KDE. But I'm having trouble with HDMI audio output. I tried with pulseaudio and pipewire-pulse but unfortunately still no sound. It seems on Pavucontrol and alsamixer that the audio output works. But physically I don't hear any sound. Installed windows and arch with dualboot. There is no problem in windows.

Re: [Magically Solved Itself] Physically no sound with Pipewire on HDMI

Are you selecting the correct HDMI profile for audio output? During an attempted not audible test what is your output for

sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
aplay -lL
pactl list cards
pactl list sinks
pactl list sink-inputs

Re: [Magically Solved Itself] Physically no sound with Pipewire on HDMI

Are you sure the HDMI device is active? Sometimes I also have this problem after boot, but in the list of playback devices I can see that HDMI is disabled only Line out works.
I'm not sure what's the root of the problem, it started when I switched to wireplumber, but my solution:

systemctl --user restart pipewire-pulse.service
systemctl --user restart wireplumber.service

Yes I am choosing the correct HDMI output. Even in professional mode, there is only 1 stereo output. And I'm 99% sure I chose it right.

Nothing has changed.

Re: [Magically Solved Itself] Physically no sound with Pipewire on HDMI

Interestingly, my problem fixed itself. I tried deleting pipewire this morning. But it didn't allow it to be deleted. Just as I was closing the terminal, I heard a sound. When I entered youtube and tried it, the sound started to work. I'm pretty sure I haven't done any systemic things. Very interesting.

Actually, I missed a small detail in the post description. I am using an HDMI to VGA converter. Interestingly, these converters do not work on linux when there is no display driver. Sometimes there is no display on boot so I unplug and plug the converter and the problem is gone. I think that's how I unplugged the converter and plugged it back in at the time. And magically, the sound came with it. So I think the problem is actually from the Xorg or Nvidia drivers. For now, unplugging and plugging the converter when the no sound solves my problem.
