help setting up old hp webcam

I have recently installed arch w/ lxqt on my hp laptop, however I still can't get my webcam/microphone to work properly. lsusb gives me a device with id 0c45:62c0, Microdia Sonix USB 2.0 Camera. After searching online, i found its supported from kernels 2.6.26 and newer, and that I didn't need to install any drivers. However, running kernel 5.18.9-arch1 it doesn't work out of the box. My guess is that this device also controls the microphone, at it doesn't work either. Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't bump: General Guidelines: Bumping

I don't know about webcams, but maybe this is a good start.
Post logs and command outputs you have tried, so other users can help you too.

Re: help setting up old hp webcam

I'm going to quote what Seth says:

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.

Couldn't say it better.
