Please don't embed huge images directly

^@ is the null character, ist it just displayed once, can you interact with the prompt from the last screenshot at all? Or does the system not react to keyboard input?

I didn't touch the keyboard, but it kept typing ^@, the cursor kept flashing, it felt like the keyboard was being controlled by someone else, but I could type some commands normally

Have you attached an external headset, keyboard, mouse or anything alike?

I occasionally run into trouble with my headset sending some Media… "events", that then end up as Escape sequences in the TTY.
