GDM Stuck on black screen with a blinking cursor

Hello,

I rebooted my computer a couple of days ago and GDM started getting stuck on a black screen with a blinking cursor. I could not find a solution that worked for me online and would appreciate it if someone could help me. I am using Wayland and GNOME with the proprietary Nvidia driver.
I have already tried many solutions and none have worked. Here are the logs for GDM:

Gdm: GdmDisplay: Session never registered, failing
Gdm: GdmDisplay: Child process -1888 was already dead.
Gdm: GdmDisplay: Child process 1873 was already dead.
Gdm: GdmDisplay: Unable to kill session worker process

Another piece of information that might be important is this error from journalctl:

GLIB-GObject: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

What configuration did you perform to allow GDM to work with the nvidia driver?

Please provide a list of what you have tried,  to avoid duplicate suggestions.

Please provide the full system journal for a boot with the issue rather than an excerpt.
