No volume control GStreamer(Solved)

I have a little x icon infront of the volume control app on the gnome panel, and when I click on it gives me the error massage:
No volume control GStreamer plugins and/or devices found.
I have alsa installed, gstreamer-base, gstreamer-alsa, I run gst-register and no effect I still get the same error and still there is no sound... Any suggestions?

make sure you add yourself the the audio group.

Whooops:

[root@lightbringer dheart]# ls -l /dev/mixer
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 Oct 30 09:06 /dev/mixer -> sound/mixer

How to change mixer not to be in the root group?

I found my audio group and I added my user to it... no effect...
