pacman option to update package before others

Was there at some point an option to specify which packages should be installed before others? I read through the pacman.conf manpage but found nothing.

Use case: archlinux-keyring updates should occur before packages signed with new/updated keys are updated or else the update will fail.

# pacman -Syu
