[SOLVED] No more auto switch from headphones to speaker

Hi all,
recently I updated the whole system with pacman -Syu and pacman had asked to switch from pulseaudio to pipewire - I avoid to go ahead.
In order to complete the upgrade, I manually removed some packages like:

• pipewire

• libpipewire

• easyeffects

• rubberband

• zita-alsa-pcmi

so system has been upgraded correctly.
Before the upgrade, plug and unplug headphones automagically switch audio from speaker to headphones and vice versa; now, headphones state is updated (plugged in vs unplugged) but I need to manually switch from headphones to speaker in Volume Control GUI.
Any way to restore the automatic switch?

Brief update:

load-module module-switch-on-port-available

was commented in /etc/pulse/default.pa file; I enabled it and now the system works fine.
