[SOLVED] Mouse lag in wayland/sway

Hey guys, I decided to try transitioning from xorg/i3 to wayland/sway today. For the most part it has been a seamless transition, but one thing is getting on my nerves. When In certain applications (and when certain applications are open in the background) my mouse cursor seems to lag. If all programs are closed, the mouse works as intended and looks like its moving at 144fps. The two programs that seem to cause this are Google Chrome and Steam. In chrome, normally the mouse works fine. But when I start scrolling I notice this effect. The same effect also happens when I am trying to watch a video on youtube. In steam, the effect seems to propagate to the entire machine. If steam is open, the mouse lags regardless of what program is open / focused. My CPU load is barely 3%, so I don't think its an issue there. I am using the nouveau driver, and I have installed both `lib32-mesa` as well as `xf86-video-nouveau`.

I figured it might have something to do with mouse acceleration, but I have disabled it in my sway config like so

input 7805:11725:ROCCAT_ROCCAT_Kone_Pure_Owl-Eye_Mouse {
    accel_profile "flat"
}

If anybody has any suggestions I would really appreciate it! It's driving me insane!

Re: [SOLVED] Mouse lag in wayland/sway

Well, I have just uninstalled both wayland and sway and migrated back to xorg/i3-gaps with nvidia proprietary drivers and everything is as it should be. Sometimes the old ways are best wink
