EDIT: The solution was a muted channel within alsamixer ....
As the topic already says, i cannot get the Soundblaster Z Card to output any audio.
The card is detected and i can assign the default sink to this card as well with pasystray. pavucontrol shows the card under the output devices it is not muted.
I am fairly new to configuring pci soundcards under linux as i have used usb audio devices that worked for me so far. So maybe i missed something important.
