how to access tty before sddm loads

hey all

stumped on this issue, system freezes when it tries to load sddm on startup and i have no clue why

main problem is that i cant get to a terminal to try fixing it

keybinds dont do anything, its getting quite annoying

its quite hard to follow this guide when i dont have a terminal

Not if you read the text beyond the blue boxes.

Alternatively, append one of the following kernel parameters to your bootloader:

systemd.unit=multi-user.target (which roughly corresponds to the old runlevel 3),
systemd.unit=rescue.target (which roughly corresponds to the old runlevel 1).
