Pipewire / Wireplumber can't output to HDMI

Hi, I thought I'd get with the times and try out pipewire.

However, I can't pipe the audio to HDMI.

$ pactl list short sinks # This lists only my laptop speakers.
50	alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-stereo	PipeWire	s32le 2ch 48000Hz	SUSPENDED

$ wpctl status
...
Audio
...
 │
 ├─ Sinks:
 │ * 49. Built-in Audio Analog Stereo [vol: 0.74]
 │
...

On a different machine running pulseaudio, the pactl list short sinks command above does indeed return the HDMI sink.

I can still play audio from the HDMI speakers directly, however, with

speaker-test -c 2 -f 400 -t sine -D hdmi:CARD=PCH,DEV=0 -S 20

for example.

This is a completely clean installation of wireplumber, pipewire-alsa, pipewire-pulse (and their dependencies). I didn't have pulseaudio installed previously.

6th generation X1 Carbon with Intel audio, if it matters.

Maybe enable a profile for the HDMI Audio Controller (e.g. using pavucontrol) ?
