gpart error: seek failure

Hi!

I installed gpart 0.1h using Pacman. When trying to run it (as root) agains whatever HD, I'm getting this error message:

*** Fatal error: dev(/dev/hdx): seek failure.

x is obviously the drive I'm trying to scan.

I can access all HD devices with any other tool, including fdisk, dd etc. It's only gpart that seems to be cranky.

As the same version of gpart was working fine with my other BSD and Linux boxes, I have to assume there's some problem with gpart and Arch Linux working together. Does anybody happen to have any information about this problem - perhaps even a way to fix it? smile
