Yes - Underground Desktop is based on Arch, and there may be others.

The late Rubix Linux and Frugalware both shared some things from both Arch as well as Slack. Rubix really did some nice things with rc.conf, in particular. Frugalware has adopted and embellished upon pacman. I think it's very cool that pacman is being used elsewhere since it's become my preferred package manager.

Rubix is dead now, but author will release the source from last SVN version to comply with GPL.
So, I can see these nice things with rc.conf.

Haha, I'm sorry Rubix is dead, I just found humor in the fact that there is guy in my school with the same name as Rubix's creator and he is/was (haven't actually communicated with him for like 2 years) an ass.

But I can't wait to see what you mean by "interesting" things in rc.conf.

What do you mean exactly? Maybe if you can explain in more detail what would like to do, someone can make suggestions. For example, why do you want a custom distribution and what is it about Arch itself that makes it unsuitable?

I'm maintaining 15 web servers running Arch in my company. they have nearly the same settings and services. I want to set up just one server and make a customized setup CD based on it. Then when I need to add a new server or reinstall the system after hardware upgrade, I can skip over most of the tedious things. Not all of the servers have the same hardware, so harddisk clone is not suitable for this job.

Who can tell me how to accomplish such a job ?
I hope the auther of Arch can provide some instructions or developing tools or scripts to do this.

You need just rebuild install ISO - put packages and config files you need there.
There is a wiki article about this. Also there was some script on this forums, but it seems to be outdated.

You could also consider using 'larch' (see website below). That is the sort of thing it was designed for.
