cannot boot after update

Hi, sorry I've tried to follow the wiki but didn't solved anything.
I've updated the system with the new Linux and Nvidia packages and after reboot it blocks at
    Starting version 251.4-1-arch
    /dev/nvme0n1p3: clean ...
No internet connection available but I can still access to other tty

I've already tried to add
    nomodeset
and
    nomodeset i915.modeset=0 nouveau.modeset=0
but nothing changes

What did you do exactly? Do you mean you tried to update only those packages? What command did you use?

I can still access to other tty

And can you login there?
Can you boot the multi-user.target (2nd link below) and if so, what's your graphical.target?

Internet or not, if you can reboot (cleanly) you can post the system journal of the failing boot from eg. the install iso or any other live distro (eg. grml), https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System … al_to_view

Re: cannot boot after update

I'm sorry but I was in a hurry to have a working system so I booted with a arch installation i keep on a USB drive, chrooted in and switch to linux-lts and nvidia-lts packages, and after running mkinitcpio -p linux-lts it now works correctly.

I'll reply for what I can now and the update was of all upgradable packages using
    pacman -Syyu
I could log in in the others tty but not start the window manager and I could cleanly reboot.

Thanks for you replies, I'm still curious to learn how to solve this kind of issues since I decided to switch completely to Linux and i suppose they're part of administrating the system or at least avoid them it is.

Re: cannot boot after update

Have you examined the system journal for the boot with the issue?  If you need further help,  please post that journal.
