[SOLVED] On the installation of the moodle package from aur

I installed the moodle  package and all the mentioned dependencies and I activated and enabled the httpd.service but in the browser with localhost/moodle I got this error "You don't have permission to access this resource. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

What I missed? Thanks.

What web server are you running (Apache / Nginx)?  Have you tested the web server and php implementation themselves without moodle?  Have you followed the steps in the wiki?

Re: [SOLVED] On the installation of the moodle package from aur

Nice! I managed to install moodle. I followed the wiki which is a bit different to the moodle package which I installed. There are many (relatively easy) steps but the more difficult for me (as a newbie) is to prepare the mariadb database. I'm happy and proud to be an arch user! Thank you @Trilby for your post and especially for the quote.

Re: [SOLVED] On the installation of the moodle package from aur

I'm glad that helped.  In the future, please keep in mind that our wiki is one of our communities greatest strengths - it's best to look there first for potential solutions before coming to the forums.

As this is resolved, please mark the thread as [SOLVED] which you can do by clicking "edit" on your first post to prepend to the title.
