Acer K272 + Nvidia GTX 1660 won't display Desktop Manager

Hi everyone, i've been using Arch since the last decade and half  and this is the first time i actually have a problem i can't solve myself or with a solution in wiki/forum .

My Arch Installation is running fine on a ryzen 5 3600G, 32 Gb RAM, nvme 256GB and 4tb motherboard managed  raid ( 1 ) storage, my graphic card is an zotac nvidia GTX 1660, my previous monitor was a 24" LG , the actual one is and acer K272 and this one have a strange issue.

Using this monitor i can see the UEFI logo and eventually go in to setup , i can also see systemd-boot and the console message while booting up the machine, once the display manager comes up the screen goes black and say " input not supported" .

But the machine is working fine , CTRL+ALT+Fx bring me to command line ( but the screen will remain black whit the " input not supported" text floating around) and i can reboot the machine.

If i log in blindly everything is fine, my setup is working behind the black monitor, gnome is running.

if i disable GDM i can also log in in command line which is shown fine until i try to run GDM or other display manager , even the simple startx ( i've no xorg.conf file ) command make the monitor goes in to " input not supported" , xorg logs doesn't help, there are no error nor significative warnings.

someone may help me ?

xorg logs doesn't help

Well, let's see?
(Don't grep it - the problem isn't necessarily marked/caused by an actual error)

here it is

https://pastebin.com/GmRDHhZ8

this comes out after running plain startx command as normal user, no xorg.conf file and also no xinitrc file, using the old LG monitor X start with twm

Since you don't have ibt=off in the kernel parameters, do you use nvidia-open?

using the old LG monitor X start with twm

But afaiu everything w/ that output is ok, so the Xorg log is pretty useless?

that's why I'm struggling, everything looks fine.

I'm using nvidia proprietary driver and this is the first issue I've in 10+ years .

We'll need an xorg log from a run w/ the problematic monitor (Acer K272)

Sorry, I didn't correlate your comment w/ the actual log.

There's no obvious problem w/ the output.
Do you get a signal when you switch to a different VT (ctrl+alt+f1,2,3,…)?
Otherwise, can you ssh into the system?

Output of

xrandr -display :0 -q

(while the X11 server is running w/ the Acer monitor w/o producing a signal)

if wasn't me i wouldn't trust the user who write this but :

if i start the OS directly to  command line everything works fine, i have a fully working shell!  i can use ctrl+alt+F1,2,3,4... to change VT with no issue if i DON'T start any display manager/x server , once a display manager ( doesn't matter which one ) or a X session is started the screen goes in to " unsupported input ", no way to get it back to work , i've to blindly reboot the PC.

ssh works fine.

Just for be super clear this is not a fresh install from a new user who forgot to set up something, this is a working setup, any other monitor work fine!
