Apologies as I really have no clue what information is relevant!
I have had no issues with my Wi-Fi until this morning, between last night and now I did update to linux-5.19.3, I've tried downgrading to no success.
It appears as though the drivers aren't functional, but I'm not sure, I've tried to install iwlwifi drivers but still it doesn't work.
The output of
sudo lshw -C network

"ip r" - sorry, typo.
But there's no wifi nic and iwlwifi doesn't control the PCI device at 03:00.0, so that's moot anyway.
Because of the "solution" in https://askubuntu.com/questions/1419892 … untu-22-04
Is there a parallel windows installation?
5.18.16-arch1-1
This is supposed to be on the downgraded kernel?
Offline
ah sorry I didnt notice that, for completeness anyway
ip r
default via 192.168.0.1 dev enp2s0 proto dhcp src 192.168.0.37 metric 100
172.17.0.0/16 dev docker0 proto kernel scope link src 172.17.0.1 linkdown
172.18.0.0/16 dev br-9c168a563b8e proto kernel scope link src 172.18.0.1
192.168.0.0/24 dev enp2s0 proto kernel scope link src 192.168.0.37 metric 100
There is a parallel windows install, I have secure boot off and fast boot disabled though.
This is supposed to be on the downgraded kernel?
Yes, that it was definitely working at that point, I tried reverting to that, as I don't remember what else updated since it last worked, but I believe it was mostly things like clang.
Ill try to let the battery drain to see if that helps though.

fast boot disabled though
Since the proper term is "windows fast start" and that's not the setting in the BIOS and windows keeps silently enaling it w/ updates, see the 3rd link below.
It's the most likely cause at this point (the wifi NIC is a frequent victim of this)

Sorry fast start was what I meant, I dont use windows often so I forget the terms. I have disabled that setting though, I just double checked, both fast start and hibernation are turned off.

Im not sure what it was, but after exiting windows and booting back into linux It appears to work, strangely enough the Wi-Fi icon in polybar and waybar appear to say disconnected, but it does work. If I work out what happened I will post here with details.
