This is my first post here, please guide me if I'm doing something wrong
Hi.
I've been researching this issue for a few days now, and I think I'm soon giving up getting any reaction out of this keyboard.
The issue is that the keyboard doesn't work after booting from grub. It works fine up until I load the kernel.
I've tried several linux kernels, several i8042 kernel parameters, and looked at pretty much everything I could find.
As a 4 years linux user, I don't have the skills to attempt this fix https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=277260 and assume it will just fail anyways because it's not the same CPU (Intel i5-12500H).
If it works in grub, then it should just work in linux somehow right? There has to be a way.
There is some other issues aswell like no detected audio devices and unstable wifi, but the keyboard is by far the issue I would like to fix first.
Does anyone know how to solve this keyboard issue?

A quick update. The issue was indeed fixed by applying this "advanced" patch. Here is more info on this specific issue https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216158 It should be upstreamed soon.
For any semi-noobs like me who can't wait, follow this tutorial https://youtu.be/VVunP3yDgm4 and apply the patch at 6:10 in the video https://bugzilla.kernel.org/attachment. … ction=diff (edit /drivers/acpi/resource.c)
The unstable wifi somehow fixed itself, not exactly sure what did it. The audio was fixed by installing sof-firmware.
Now, this is a rather good laptop for linux after doing these few things!
New issues I encountered:
- Display won't turn on again if brightness is set to 0
- Sometimes keyboard doesn't work in grub when rebooting (it always works with shutdown), not tested suspending.
- Display stutters sometimes, like the frame goes forward, then backwards then forwards again.
