Freeze after systemctl suspend

Hi, I've encountered this freeze issue since upgrading from 5.13 and it appears when trying to wake up from suspension, the screen lights up and shows everything fine but I just coundn't use keyboard or mouse to control it.

I used to think this happens for certain, but now it seems to work fine for a first time sometimes.

From the kernel log I found that when it works, logs are printed as following:

Aug 29 15:52:48 middle-of-nowhere kernel: PM: suspend entry (s2idle)

While when it freezes, there's only one line:

Aug 29 15:55:44 middle-of-nowhere kernel: PM: suspend entry (s2idle)

Oh, and I tried to suspend in tty, got the same issue, so I think the problem has something to do with the kernel other than graphical driver or X.

I'm not sure where to go from here, maybe some kernel option could fix it, or should I do a full reinstallation? Reallly appreciate for some help, thanks in advance.

Does your system have IRST (Intel Rapid Start Technology) enabled?

Hi ewaller, our issues seem very similar, and my cpu is Intel i5.

My laptop is RedmiBook and I didn't find RST settings in BIOS, but I think maybe there's a way to bring it out since I'm using dual-boot with Win10.

I'll keep digging, thanks for the tip!

Bummer.. Looks like there's no unhackable ways to tune the BIOS of my laptop, which basically has no advanced settings.

While I also tried to change some software config in Win10, I started to think this RST thing may not be my issue. Since I bumped into this freeze thing after OS upgrade at the first place.

Anyway, thanks! I'll try to install another fresh Arch and see if it works. And if someone has other clues, please share with me.
