I have connected a second external monitor to my laptop, which has Nvidia RTX 2060 on it. I am trying to set this monitor up to be used in portrait mode. It is supported by the monitor. It works perfectly in normal orientation, however in portrait mode it doesn't work as it should.

As you can see in the image, vertical monitor is displaying both it's own screen and the screen of the monitor next to it. You can see my display configuration in the same link, as well as a screenshot of the desktop. My xrandr output is:

I am not using any Xorg configuration files. I have two methods to connect this display to my computer: Displayport -> Displayport to Mini Displayport adapter -> Computer OR HDMI -> Computer. I have tried both methods, while having the other external monitor connected and unconnected. I have tried installing and switching to XFCE from KDE. I have tried setting the rotation through xrandr. I have tried rebooting while having the monitor connected, I have added a conf file named 40-monitor.conf which rotated the screen before any rendering happens (it was suggested here: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Tallscreen_Monitor).
I am using the latest linux-zen kernel and the latest nvidia-dkms driver.
EDIT: The exact same setup works perfectly on wayland, but I would like it to work with X11 if possible.

I have found a workaround for my problem. Following the link for the NVIDIA configuration found on https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PRIME#User_scenarios I have added an Xorg config:
Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "layout"
Screen 0 "nvidia"
Inactive "intel"
EndSection
Section "Device"
Identifier "nvidia"
Driver "nvidia"
BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "nvidia"
Device "nvidia"
Option "AllowEmptyInitialConfiguration"
EndSection
Section "Device"
Identifier "intel"
Driver "modesetting"
EndSection
Section "Screen"
Identifier "intel"
Device "intel"
EndSection
Now everything is rendered with my discrete NVIDIA gpu, and the monitor rotation works perfectly.
