mouse scrolling over RDP

Hi

I'm pretty new to Arch, but have my system setup and am running xrdpd since I frequently have to remote into my Arch desktop. One problem that has been vexing me is the mouse scrolling behavior when remoting into this machine. Scrolling is very jumpy and too fast. Nothing I've tried so far seems to make any difference. Mouse scrolling behavior is pretty normal when I login to the Arch machine directly.

I'm connecting from a Macbook Pro and using Remote Desktop to connect to my Arch machine.

I'm using XFCE a pretty vanilla instance of XFCE right now (hope to do some ricing later), I think I've only installed a couple of Nordic themes, which didn't seem to make the scrolling issue any better or worse.

So far I haven't used the right search criteria to turn up anything helpful, so i'm here asking for help.
