Since I switched to wayland, my firefox frequently shows some rectangles with stuff from the page before. These areas are updated as soon as you move the mouse over them. It happens only with wayland. My setup:
- KDE on wayland
- Firefox with MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 and setting gfx.webrender.all=true (checked via about:support)
- Mesa Intel Xe Graphics (i915)
I don't know where this problem is related to: Firefox? KDE (kwin_wayland)? Intel video driver? VA-API? ...?
Thanks for every advice.

What were you using before Wayland? If you use kwin execute the following to see which windows use Xwayland or native Wayland, surfaces, input events, clipboard contents.
$ qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin org.kde.KWin.showDebugConsole and also please see the following link https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/waylan … nd_crashes.

Firefox is running on native wayland. Before I used Xorg. And no, the CLUTTER_PAINT variable is not set anywhere. Do you have any other ideas?

Since some weeks I haven't encountered this problem anymore. I can't say which factor has changed since then, but bugfixes around Wayland were often made.
