While trying to open a password-protected file in LibreOffice (after upgrading my packages today) it fails, reporting that the password is incorrect.
After some package downgrades, it would appear that libxml2-2.9.14-1 works perfectly fine, though after updating to libxml2-2.10.2-2 LibreOffice can no longer read or write to any password-protected documents.
After some quick searches online, I don't see any other reports of this, though I may have missed something.
Is there anything I should do or look into before reporting this upstream somewhere?
If I need to report this issue upstream, should I report it to LibreOffice or libxml2?

Thanks for pinpointing this! I was having the same issue, tried multiple password protected spreadsheets, tried installing libreoffice-still instead of libreoffice-fresh, tried downgrading libreoffice-fresh, nothing worked and searching was not producing any results. Finally found your post and downgrading to libxml2-2.9.14-1 did the trick. This definitely needs to be reported.

The latest minor update to LibreOffice seems to have fixed the issue.
Password protection now works fine with libxml2-2.10.2-2.
Topic marked as solved.

Confirmed. Just updated to libxml2-2.10.2-2 and passwords work.
