Debug hang cause whether OS or hardware

I have faced sudden system hangs 5 times till now and actually continuously from last 4 nights (for some reason it has happened in night only, maybe longer uptimes? but they were not more than 12 hours).
Symptoms:
Everything stops responding- for example my phone remains connected usually through usb gets disconnected immediately, keyboard, touchpad and usb mouse everything gets ignored means no response to them (mouse led turns off after some 30 - 60 seconds). Screen is not something black or anything it's simply what was displayed on the screen at that time, it gets stuck on that.
Some Interesting things - If the caps lock is on then its LED starts blinking(instead of continuously lighting) but nothing new if it was off.

I want to find out whether this is happening because of OS(or some software/package etc.) or hardware is getting old.

Re: Debug hang cause whether OS or hardware

what is the output of free -h  ?

The blinking LED on the keyboard is indicative of a kernel panic:

Have you checked your journal for clues?

Re: Debug hang cause whether OS or hardware

I am also seeing system freezes (w/ blinking caps-lock) under 5.19 with my Alder-Lake-based ThinkPad P1 Gen 5 (my previous-generation Think Pad X1E4 did the same thing). Thought it was caused by https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=278856&p=4, but the freezes continue with Kernel 5.19.6, which contains a fix to the issue reported in the other thread. 5.18 is fine...
