exe will boot from wine in dolphin, but not from the terminal

First time having to ask for help because i cant find anything on google...

I just installed FL studio via wine last night, and it opened perfectly via dolphin. However, when i try to launch it via the terminal, it keeps freezing and wont load the app. I'm not sure if dolphin includes certain arguments when launching FL.exe (the app in question), or if dolphin is in a different 'environment'(idk im noob) entirely.

what the terminal alone spit out (launches exe, loading signal starts, FL doesnt load) :

Is it possible that working directory is the reason?
You may try (in terminal) cd to the same directory as in dolphin, then wine ./FL.exe

I'm a newbie too, but hope it doesn't hurt to try this.

Hi,

I had the same issue with messages like

0140:err:sync:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0142605C "?" wait timed out in thread 0140, blocked by 0024, retrying (60 sec)

and FL not starting.
One workaround is to try starting it with winedbg:

winedbg --command cont ~/.wine/.../FL.exe

This works for me. (FL version 20.8.4)
