I am new to arch.It is really very good.
My problem is I can't hear any sound in Google translate.
My browser is Firefox.
I am using alsa for audio.
Should I install any codec?

Re: no audio in Google translate

Using ALSA for audio with firefox is not going to be a good experience, you really want to have some implementation of a pulse server running.

If you really want to stick with ALSA, you need to make sure that you have a proper ALSA config declaring the default device correctly (where correctly means you'd need to see a default device in aplay -L) if even, my memory is a bit fuzzy but if you're really unlucky firefox also hardcodes on hw:0,0 here. If your output device happens to be hw:0,4 or so you might even be SOL on getting by with ALSA only.

Is this only on google translate? I expect no/little other audio to work.
