[SOLVED] PDF Reader with handwritten annotations that works ?

Hi,

I'm looking for a PDF reader that allows me to highlight text and add handwritten notes on my convertible 2-in-1 laptop, and the search isn't going well so far.

Also it'd be nice if it runs smoothly with the tool I use to manage scholary articles, Zotero (that is, when opening a pdf from Zotero, it loads the annotation I can see my annotations without having to open an extra file).

Here's what I tried:
- Okular - Highlighting works, but I couldn't find a way to add handwritten remarks. EDIT: Ok, I found the "Freehand Line" feature ... but it's not exactly practical compared to xournal.
- Xournal++ - crashes, doesn't run on my system.

- (old) Xournal - Works ok. Two finger scroll would be nice but not a must. The only problem here is that it doesn't automatically load the annotations file associated with a PDF I load from Zotero. Not very smooth.

Is there anything else I could try ? A browser plugin would be fine, but I couldn't find any ..

Best,
N

Well, I found it, but to be honest it's not very ... fluent for writing ...

Re: [SOLVED] PDF Reader with handwritten annotations that works ?

I use Master PDF Editor for highlighting text.

The highlighting is compatible with PDF X-change Viewer, which I use on Windows.

Master PDF Editor comes with a pencil tool, but I've never used it so I don't know how practical it is.

Cheers,

Guess I arranged myself with Okular for now, and the recent versions of Xournal++ don't have the same problem anymore ...

Cheers !
