I notice when we download jre it says there is an agreement we should agree to. Are we agreeing to it by using it or is there some interactive type of agreement.
I've opened it with nano but of course they don't know I've opened it.....
Does this question make sense?
Thanks,
McRae

skottish,
Thanks for the reply. I was a bit embarrassed to ask it because I assumed it was as you said. For some reason, when I read it tonight, it jumped out at me more than in the past.
So, thanks again:)

You agree to the licence if you use it or have it installed on your system (if you don't use it, why would you have it installed?).

BTW, should license files of packages installed in /opt remain there, or they should be installed in /usr/share/licenses ?
to live is to die

I believe they should go in /usr/share/licenses. File a bug report.
