[SOLVED] Controlling master audio through amixer

Hello,

I am a streamer and frequently speak online with my friends. My main problem is that I use hotkeys to control amixer for my volume, which works great! However, it lowers the whole system volume and thus the OBS desktop audio. I have a USB audio interface that I can turn the master gain down without affecting the actual output volume, but I was curious if there was a better way of controlling the audio with keys instead of on my audio interface. I'm using Haskell with Xmonad as my tiling window manager.

Many thanks for any insight into this!

Found it! Hotkeys of "comma" and "period" keys accomplishes this.
