[SOLVED] CTRL + F1...F4 Doesn't work

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you knew what could cause the following issue:

I can't use CTRL + F1-F2-F3-F4, but I can use CTRL + F5-F12 with no problem I can also use F1-F4 without any issue this is also not application specific, this is system-wide. Furthermore, I tried to change my keyboard layout and also tried another keyboard, still the issue persisted if you have any info I would appreciate it!

Things I've tried:
Change keyboard to a full size one
Update system
Change keyboard layout

Info
GUI: Wayland
Keyboard Language: English US (intl, with altGr dead keys)

Thanks.

What do you mean it "doesn't work"?  What do you expect those keys to do, and what actually happens?  Do you expect them to swtich to other ttys?  What compositor are you using ("wayland" is a protocol, not a gui).

I use them in IntelliJ IDE they are used as a shortcut easy solution would be to change the shortcut, but I'd rather have them working as for what I mean when I say they don't work well when I press them nothing happen at all in any software I use

(edited) sorry I was thinking Alt+F1...F4 which would typically change ttys.  Just the same, I suspect they might be bound globally / by the compositor.  So, again, which compositor are you using?

Re: [SOLVED] CTRL + F1...F4 Doesn't work

Hey, with all the info you gave me I was able to find a solution! I needed to disable the default key bind of virtual desktop!

For anyone facing the same issues if you are using KDE Plasma Kwin
System Setting -> Workspace -> Shortcuts -> Search for desktop -> Kwin
Then disable the following
Switch to desktop 1-4

Thanks again!
