Yesterday, I upgraded my arch desktop computer with
pacman -Syu which I have not been using for a month because of vacation. After the update, my system does not boot and boot process is stuck at certain point which I try to describe below.
My computer has single disk with two partition. One is fat32 ESP partition for /boot and the other is a luks partition. Inside luks partition, I have btrfs file system. I have different subvolumes for /var, /home, /opt, /tmp, /var etc.
I am asked luks password as usual during boot, after entering the password, I can see that /home, /opt, /swap, /tmp, /var and some remote nfs mounts are mounted as described in /etc/fstab file. The last message I see during the boot process is the checking fat32 partition which consist of esp partition and /boot files. The boot process stucks after the message "Finished System Check on /dev/disk/by-uuid/my-esp-partition-uuid-number". I am using systemd-boot and using lts kernel. I tried failsafe option at the boot menu, I can clearly see that boot process is stuck at mounting /boot
I used a livecd and mounted luks/btrfs partitions manually. The /boot/loader enteries, /etc/fstab uuid references seem correct. I can boot manually fat32 partition as well. So the partition does not seem to be corrupt.

You don't happen to use GRUB as your bootloader, do you? There's a note still on the Arch Linux homepage which mentions that some upgrades broke GRUB.
You'll need to boot off of the Arch ISO, mount your filesystems, and archchroot. Then you can run the following:
grub-install <...grub-install parameters>
grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfgI was aware of that prior to my last boot, and I didn't have any trouble booting just now (it had been a few weeks since my last boot). After I had run these as root before I rebooted. I also have a LUKS partition that I unlock, but I installed GRUB with grub-install to /dev/nvme0n1p1. Apparently there's a new fwsetup parameter which causes older GRUB installs to choke.

If (s)he is getting the prompt for the luks password, grub is working (assuming grub is used). benibilme, if you boot into your system with the ISO, arch-chroot into your system are there any useful logs in journal ctl?

I am not using grub. I am using systemd-boot described at Arch Linux systemd-boot wiki , I believe that it has to be something about kernel or some new parameter pushed in firmware, I do know. I can mount btrfs file system under luks, and mount /boot fat32 partition manually by using archiso.

After booting to arch iso and mouting luks partition, all the btrfs subvolumes like /var, /opt based my /etc/fstab, and making arch-chroot, I checked the journal via
journal -k -b -1 The content of the journal is as follows. It seems, I may have problem with nvidia but I really do not know. I see some tainted kernel messages related to nvidia.

There's a change in the linux kernel that will steal TTY FB devices from nvidia if a igpu is present even if that igpu isn't attached to a screen. Blacklist i915 by adding
install i915 /usr/bin/trueto a conf file in /etc/modprobe.d and try again

No, that problem that people have that appeared just with that driver version has a distinct error message with the nvidia-drm module timing out/losing a display event, the issue we have here is also independent of the nvidia driver version. That is being looked at from downstream at https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/75995
@benibilme you're right we should probably add a note somewhere. This should in general not be that frequent of a deal since most mainboards normally contain a setting that would disable the igpu by default if a dedicated one is present (which would be another approach you could take)
