System locking up occasionally on GDM lock screen

For the past couple of weeks I've had a few nights where my desktop running Arch has frozen with the lock screen up. I have Gnome set to automatically lock after a timeout and the screens turn off as well, but when I get a notification the screens wake up briefly. The freeze is on the lock screen, possibly when a notification fired since it otherwise wouldn't show unless I touched the keyboard or mouse.

The only thing that has changed recently in my setup (besides running regular updates) is I switched my main monitor from HDMI to Display Port. The main monitor has been a little unreliable with this connection (sometimes needing to be power cycled for the computer to detect it), hence why I think it is plausibly related.

Due to the intermittent issue, I'm not sure the best way to diagnose at this point. Any suggestions for logs or anything I can refer to next time this happens?
